I can’t Breathe

I can’t breathe when I sit here staring at my boys afraid to let them grow up because the fear of losing them is real.

I can’t breathe when I can’t reach my husband, who went to the store 20 minutes ago and hasn’t returned. Because the fear he was pulled over is weighing on me.

I can’t breathe when I watch the news, seeing the lives of my brothers and sisters being lost at the hand of those who are supposed to serve and protect.

I can’t breathe with society's knee in my neck, telling me that I have to prepare my young sons for the day we pray will never happen, them getting shot while playing.

I can’t breathe.

I can’t breathe.

I CAN’T BREATHE!!!!!

MOTHER’S CAN’T BREATHE

FATHER’S CAN’T BREATHE

BROTHERS, SISTERS, FAMILIES CAN’T BREATHE!!!

AMERICA WE CAN’T BREATHE.

Because racism is stealing our air.
